Jason Harness, Founder of Harness Financial, is an advocate, accountability partner, and financial strategist for his clients. He focuses on wealth management, financial planning, and the integration of tax mitigation strategies to help deliver solutions that will impact the outcome.
Jason believes that a comprehensive understanding of his clients’ financial lives and periodic reviews leads to better results. He encourages his clients to think about how their priorities could evolve and helps them create strategies that respond to their changing needs.
In addition to those preparing for, or in, retirement, Jason’s services are especially valuable to business owners. He has merged the parallel paths of growth taught by the EPI in the CEPA credentialing alongside the quantitative, process-driven six steps instilled by the IEPA in the CBEC credentialing. The results have assisted his business owner clients in developing plans and strategies that align with their specific exit goals.

Jason is a graduate of the University of Missouri – Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree. He began his career in the finance industry in 2002. Jason earned his Certified Family Business Specialist (CFBS) designation in 2018 and his Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation in 2019. His Certified Business Exit Consultant (CBEC) was earned in 2023.
Jason resides in Saint Charles with his wife, Jill, and their son, Henry. He enjoys hiking with his family, being on the water, playing sand volleyball, and traveling. During the fall football season, you can find Jason back in Columbia rooting on the Mizzou Tigers!
